Crooning on my Stereo: "Gemini" by SpongeCola
One sunday evening, I passed some neighborhood friends who are drin'king and suddenly someone called me.. It was my so called "Bayaw" (Brother in-law), he introduced me to a friend of his that he says was a fortune teller.. They were laughing while saying that she can predict the future and what she will predict will probably happen. So I gave it a try. Here's what happened.
Anyways, her name was Tiklo.. (I really don't remember)
Tiklo: Patingin nga ng palad mo..
Me: Bakit? Sige.. Ito oh. (I showed my palm)
Tiklo: Uhh-hmm.. May nunal ka sa gitna ng palad mo.. masuwerte ka sa negosyo..
Me: Talaga? ayos yan ah? tapos ano pa?
Tiklo: Wag kalang masyado magpapautang kasi hindi ka babayaran..
Me: That's All?
Tiklo: Yun lang.. wahahaha..
That very moment that she laugh, someone gave me a text message saying that she wants to borrow some money and promises to pay.. I gave Tiklo a look and she was there smiling right back at me.
Now, it gave me a brainstorm. I have these business that can help me to make my business effective. I want to start my own business. But how? and what business. That's my Big question. Help anyone? Anyway here are my ideas for an effective business.
1. Goal Setting
Know what your mission is. Know what truly is your goal for setting up a bussiness and be able to succinctly articulate it.
2. Examine your Motives
Make sure that you have a passion for owning a business and for this particular business.
3. Sacrifice
Be willing to commit to the hours, discipline, continuous learning and the frustrations of owning your own business.
4. Competitive Check
Conduct a competitive analysis in your market, including products, prices, promotions, advertising, distribution, quality, service, and be aware of the outside influences that affect your business.
5. Act Helpless
Seek help from other small businesses, vendors, professionals, government agencies, employees, trade associations and trade shows. Be alert, ask questions, don't be shy.
Hoping this will be useful to everyone.
